Marcus Hernon is a flute player from Connemara who has been successful at All Ireland Fleadhanna. He has made a number of recordings over the years including The Grouse in the Heather and Feenish Legacy and is also an accomplished composer and flute maker. Marcus is joined by his sons Proinsias and Breandan together with his nephew Labhrás, all of whom are steeped in Connemara music.

Matt Keane is one of the renowned Keane family from Caherlistrane in Co. Galway and like his siblings has been singing all his life, without a doubt follows a family trait of singing good songs naturally. A real treat for the McKenna festival.

Jimmy Crowley has been central to the Irish folk scene since the mid 1970’s and by now has established himself not just as a tradition bearer, ethnographer and Gaelic language enthusiast but also as a stylish songwriter.
